I have a line on an M101, but it's 7 hours from me, I have to go close to there this weekend, but can't drive my truck 7 hours...can I tow an M101 behind a V6 Pontiac Grand Prix? it has a (?)3000lb hitch, but the M101 has a pintle....thoughts? am i dreaming here?

If you can get the 101 on a small trailer....then you might be O.K.

The problem is the pintle hitch, the V-6 would pull it, but you dont have a way to hook it up. So just put the 101 on a small, low, trailer.

I'd feel a lot better about pulling it with a truck though.

I'm waiting for better weather, then taking the cruiser...

thanks for the comments...

Wait, you have a 3,000lb rated hitch so just rent a pintle receiver for it and tow the thing home. Or am I missing something here?

dude, buy or borrow a 2" to pintle adapter plate and a pintle hook. You'll use at least the latter for the 101 anyway, maybe both.
If you're gonna pull the 101 with a 2" equipped truck, get a direct 2" to pintle.
New, probably $50-$100. Can resell easily enough.

It'll be a bit low, no doubt, but who cares if the trailer is empty. And go slow!
