I have a 2003 Lexus LX470 with 200,000 miles. My question is about mt AHC. The light comes on and automatically goes into low mode or the light comes on saying it is off. I have no control with the off button. During the day as I drive, I can feel the AHC raise and lowering the front & rear.

I would like to know if I should fix the AHC or replace it with shocks & springs?

Thank you

James

Exhaust your options with full efforts to repair the AHC. Tons of help from fellow mudders to do so. It can very well be a simple repair/process or a bit frustrating but don't just immediately throw it away without efforts to resolve it.

It is too good of a suspension system not too.

Is it rusty, if yes replace with conventional springs and shocks! If not, when was the last time it was serviced? Has the fluid been changed? What are the AHC pressures? etc.... hard to say where your situation is but you may have a simple problem that would suggest you keep the AHC.

There's a good "ABC's of AHC" thread that you can browse to see what to review and look at. Having something ready like Techstream that can look at your pressures will be needed.
Thank you, after I posted the question, I realized I couldn’t be the first person with this issue.
