Anyone have a source for drill bushings locally? Sizes I'm looking for in particular...
4ea 1 1/2 " OD X 3/4" ID X 5/8" length
4ea 3/4" OD X 1/2" ID X 5/8" length

Also, any place around here to (legally) flex out the rear suspension and measure for proper ext/comp shock lengths? Or forklift?

Other option would be to completely re-engineer rear suspension design to / \ (there's actually kits for this if needed, welding still required) in which case still need to measure for shock lengths. :D No problem, right

Any assistance or direction is appreciated, thanks gents.

Okay, here's what I'm thinking so feel free to give input advice. If I went with a U-bolt flip, I'd have to have new lower shock tabs to go from this

to

and keep the upper tab locations because the / \ design has negative effects on a dd, especially when carrying extra weight (from others' experience)

Then I could go with a rebuildable and revalvable shock for not much more (depending on perspective) :D

Or, what about placing the shocks on the same side of the axle, creating a new upper mount (cross member) like this?

Have the room to do this since the spare is on the tire carrier bumper. Benefits/problems with this type of design?

Why do you still have the '88 in your sig? And don't force me to post the pics of your greased-up (armoralled) tires, and snazzy wheels :flipoff2: Besides, I've got a plan, it's the implementation that's in committee!

[STRIKE]The runner is still in my sig because I'm too lazy to edit it plus does anyone give a sh*t about a rusty brown IFS 4runner?[/STRIKE] FIXED!!!

Post away, I'd actually like to see them myself. :flipoff2:

Don't you know that doing anything via committee is a bad idea?

You can do a better photochop job than that!!!

Update:

Got some lower shock tabs and a U-bolt flip kit, surprising how much space it gained under the axle. Duane (Techtafab) did the gluing, and also let me use his very cool ramp to measure for shock lengths. We were both a little shocked (har har) with the IFS flex :flipoff2:, mostly due to the fancy coilovers and recent BFH clearancing following Moab. By ramping the rear I was able to get the other rear drooped tire to come off the ground before the front, :hhmm:. May have to experiment with the shackles now, and consider orbit eyes (thoughts?)

Also, Duane prescribed some very cool rear quarter panel protection (so I don’t dent my TRD sticker). Of course with the recent mostly swampy weather, painting requires many more :beer: between drying times. Sadly this leads to more  and now the entire rear bumper is off for a little care. I need to weigh this thing, it’s much heavier than I remember!

Got my winch in! Requires removing the arb bumper (trust me, last thing I wanted to do) and clocking the gears and switch. Made some much needed changes to the infallible arb bumper design during this time . I know, how dare I say anything negative about them, so I’ll stop before I get ostracized :ban:. The wife helped me put the bumper back on, that’s right, she helps me in the garage. Probably because she doesn’t want me bleeding in the house, but it’s still cool.

So hopefully I get everything finished up this weekend and post some pretty pictures. :flamingo:

With all that flex you'll be playing with the big boys this year and I'll be wheelin all alone.

I can hear her making that comment with a straight face. :)
