72 Seat

I've got one, which I can get to Dallas. It's in Oklahoma in storage right now. PM me if interested.

How much do you want for it? I am getting a price on modifying the 70 seats to fit the 72 tub but still may be interested.

Engine manual (2F) is on backorder still from Toyota, but you can buy the Chassis/Body manual from C-Dan (best price) or just download from http://www.birfield.com in the Downloads or Archives section.

Wanted: FJ40 Transmission Cover 65-70

I have a 1965. It appears to be the same as my 1970 cover, so I think it should work. I would prefer one that did not have any holes (i.e. column shift) because I put a four speed in and would like to cut my own holes. I am in Provo, UT. Please let me know.

I'll accept $50 for it. Also, keep in mind that there is no guarantee that all four bolt holes will be perfectly matched for these seats. You may still have to reposition the front left bracket on your floorboard. It seems like Toyota tack welded the last bolt bracket on when they mounted the seats, as I've never been able to switch out seats and have that bracket match up perfectly, even within same model year FJ40s.

If youre doing a restoration, then the 72 seat is different on the seat back than the earlier versions.

or you could use a later one from a 4 speed. which is what I have, if interested. from a 77 and I might have one with no holes, have to look

u bolts aren't something you want to reuse and they're only about $50/8 at the local spring shops. they stretch, and that's the end of them...after that, you risk snapping them or not getting them tight enough.

what month in 71/72? just fyi, there was a 'tri-split' bench in some of em (i know my 3/72 has it).
not real sure if you're just tryin to find seats or goin for a resto...

would sell you mine, but they are trashed and i'm goin to use the the brackets for some buckets...

i hate to say it but the only ones i have seen are spectre. thats were i got my hood hold downs and windsheild latches, i didnt buy the hood to cowl ones because the billet aluminum was way to much $$$. i have looked forever and no one ealse i could find had them. GOOD LUCK!

i have one out of a dodge voyeger van that i was thinking about using but decided against it, went with a jeep rear seat instead. it will fit a 40 but will fit from wheel well to wheel well and i wanted to have some space between them. its mint condition dark red with arm rests and belts attached its yours free if you want it, PM me, and i could take some pics and send them to your e-mail, i dont know how to rezise them for posting on here.

No hardware whatsoever. When I purchased the LC there was one of those long, multi-panel "Wink" mirrors mounted where the visors should have been.
At least the old OEM mirror was found in a box of spares!
