IMO I would stay away from using a rag joint. I did a mini truck ps conversion on my 40 several years ago. I used a rag joint on the original set up. I had that joint come apart while climbing a hill on the last day of TDS a few years ago and lost my steering. I replaced that rag joint with a Flaming River steering joint that is very solid and well made. It was about 100 bucks which is close to the factory Toyota rag joint cost. A 20 dollar rag joint would scare me to off road.
