Radio powers on but no sound in new to be LX

As I continue to search.....
I am looking at buying another 2001 LX without NAV. The radio will power on but no sound. The owner thinks the amp is out. It has a different amp than my 2000 LX or I would try it to confirm the bad amp.

All I want is to produce sound from the speakers so I can bluetooth my iphone music. I care nothing about a fancy head unit or fancy sound....just working speakers and a frequency to bluetooth form my iphone.

I know less than zero about car radios, amps, etc. I may just try to find a used amp and see if that's the problem. What say you is the easiest way to get sound again.

Surely you hundy radio brainiacs have done this before. The pioneer amp in the LX is now no where to be found online or I would buy one to try.
