My original radio has interference that sounds like a spark plug wire. The wires, plugs, and rotor and nearly new. The volume of the interference varies by throttle position, not RPM. The static is non-existent with my foot of the pedal and gets loud when I floor it. Any ideas?

I was going to Re, Re, check the grounds. I have an aftermarket power extending antenna, like original. Also, buy power side noise suppressors. I may get a new-old Toyota radio if the junk yard has one that works with my wiring harness.

I have no interest in a modern head unit, amp and speakers. I normally only listen to AM and the receivers are terrible in modern radio head units. I also do not like gadgets and complications. I went down the conversion rabbit hole in a 2005 Sequoia and it was a train wreck.
