Hey Dan,

Do you mind throwing that in your rig Saturday morning and so I can pick it up from you?

Jack
No problem. I need to pick up jumper cable to use with it. I'll try to take care of that today. Your radio uses the SO-239 connections right?

I'm just glad Keith is on my side. . .

Yeulp...well get em!

As long as you're within a couple blocks of each other you should be fine :flipoff2:

:p

Actually, I think a couple of blocks is being very generous!

Damn Keith: We missed you today buddy!!! It was a great run...8-great rigs minus 1 (yours). We all had a blast...and some of us actually had to use our winches on this run!

Alvaro piloted La Cabra through Bronco Canyon! Everyone helped stack rocks here and there...yank him a couple of times (OK...once plus Rusty pulled a turtle boulder out from underneath La Cabra)...but he's my hero for not only attempting this trail in a LC wagon but getting through!

And we all (sans Mark) used our 2m radios...

I wishd that I could have been there!
I did get to dig a 4ft HOLE, and drop a big A$$ tree in it....ALL DAY! That was WAAAAAY more fun than wheelin with you folks for sure!
Didnt Jack go through too?
Why didnt you run it? Looks like you could have made it?

Nope...Jack & I erred on the safe side. To be honest I'm just not up for and I certainly would hate to impose on others for the rock stacking project it would be to get the hundy through there. Alvaro has an extra 1" on me...and that certainly helped. But even at that it was tough...and Alvaro is a vastly superior driver/rock negotiator than I am!

Maybe with 37"'s . But you and Dylan's 60/62's would be perfect for crawl'n through there!

In years past, I could have gotten my rig through there, we used to drag much lower/stocker rigs through there. It is all washed out now, plus with the influx of buggies heading that way to run upper Bronco/candyland, it has gotten very rough. Just ask the Dans about the mud hole that used to be nothing. Run a few 42"+ tired buggies through there and it makes it much more challenging.

Jack

Actually most of the changes happened two or three years ago when we had the big snow winter. The run off washed a lot of sand and gravel down stream. The wash leading into the trail got filled in a lot, some of the approach/departure angles that use to be steep are almost flat now.
From what I've seen on line most of the buggies drop in at the bail out and skip the lower section. The bail out road is way worse than it was last year, I think that could be blamed on the buggies.

Yeah...
Hearing that Alvaro had a hard time through there, makes me a little nervous about me being able to get through...
Hes a stud wheeling his rig.
It doesnt look all that imposing from the pics, but pictures can be very decieving.

None the less, Id still like to give it a go!

That sure was quite the mud hole.

I used Rusty's SWR meter last night and got the antenna tuned to 1:1, so we will see if that improves the performance.

Lets try to keep on topic.

Glad it helped, you'll have to show me how to use it.
