Anybody have experience or knowledge of the alloyworks aluminum radiator? Mine just cracked at the plastic/metal edge on the bottom and is pissing, replacement time.

I had the same problem 3 weeks ago and a local shop soldered a metal cap to the original radiator. It can be done for a fraction of the price of new one. I paid $100 just for the metal cap since I removed and reinstalled everything. Note that a new one is not available here. Good luck!

I wonder how many shops are left, in the USA, that can actually do this kind of work....

I would just go with an aftermarket radiator made by Koyo or Denso from rockauto. Alternatively, for about $150 more you can get an OEM Toyota radiator part number 16400-66081 for the aluminum core version.

I was having the same thought, spent time in Burma as a kid. They could fix anything there.... Of course, flying in a DC-3 took some courage.

No many.
When I was a kid there were shops that could do this kind of work.
Now it’s a throwaway society where hardly anything gets fixed.
Throw it away and get a new one. Everything TVs, washer/dryers car’s you name it. 😟
