Quick question about install on front rotors

It is time for front rotors. I have done this in the past but this time i dont have an impact. My only concern is holding the rotor stationary when removing the large bolts that hold the rotor to the hub. Can i simply brake them free before i remove the assembly from the truck? I think i could remove the wheel, have my wife push the brake peddle to keep the rotor from turning and crack free the big bolts. Am I thinking right?

I think the last time I did mine I had the assembly off, on cardboard on the floor and wedged a prybar between the studs to prevent rotation and a breaker bar on the bolts. I could see this not working or being difficult if your parts are too rusty though.

i took the whole hub and rotor assemble and mounted then up in the vice before cracking them loose
