Question on 10mm wheel spacers

Oh I see. Can you PM the exact ones you bought? I tried to get price some out on the site, but they wanted to know the center bore and a few other measurements I wasn't sure how to get. want to get it right the first time....

I was unsure of a few of the things they ask for on the site. So, I just called and ordered them over the phone. Much easier that way. You can just make up some numbers to price it. It was about $220 shipped for a set of 4.

I would call as well. They are very helpful on the phone.

IIRC, pick your year land cruiser, cant remember bore size, hub centric to vehicle hub.

I think they are 80 a pair, plus shipping. My order was closer to 180 or so.

So I gather that a 3/8" spacer will work?

Will give them a call when I am ready to order them.

NEW WHEEL SPACER QUESTION:

Didn't want to start a new thread and couldn't find the old one I was looking for.

QUESTION: Can you run two wheel spacers on each front wheel? I was looking at these.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/380551194277?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

They're obviously not the best. But for the price... could I stack two next to each other?

I want to run about 12mm spacers up front to correct the track width that lifting changed in the front. Also, I want to slowly get the mods in place to run 35s. But as this thread points out, it's hard to find 1/2" wheel spacers. They all seem to be lik 1" or more.

No, don't do it. If you want 20mm spacers, you can have them custom made and they will be of the wheel adapter type, with their own set of studs. These will work with the OE alloy wheels but not any steelies. It's either a single 10mm spacer or a 20mm wheel adapter... nothing in between without changing the studs.

Ill design one for you

1 Pair sold. Was that you? Worth the risk, however I'm hesitant with it being such a vital component. I know it's aluminum, but if the metal is soft enough it could compress and allow the wheel to move about.

There is nothing to design really. You can order them today from several different places. The problem is 10mm is the largest you can safely go with out longer wheel studs. And unfortunately no one has been able to source a longer wheel stud that works on our rigs.....

Choices in size are minimal 10mm is the thickest you can go without longer studs or a wheel adapter spacer. Once you get into adapter spacers, 1" is the thinnest you can go without having to cut down your studs.

I have 1" wheel adapters and the stud/lugnut protrudes about 1/4" or so above the adapter. They fit nicely into the alloy wheel "pocket." But there is definitely a bit more room in there, probably about 1/2" depth, I have not measured.

Wildsmith had some 20mm wheel adapters made up and said they worked. I believe it. And when I asked my wheel adapter guy what is the thinnest he'd recommend, he said about 3/4" ... or 19mm. So I think 19-20mm is pretty much the threshold for wheel adapters.

Good to know... One of the vendors here that sells to us once told me 1" was the min. But, if Wildsmith does it... Well he doesnt always find the easiest route.....

One more not for others... If you are using 10mm spacers, be very careful when installing your lug nuts. There isnt a lot of room to get it threaded and can easily be stripped. So take your time and make sure to warn any mechanics or wheel monkeys.

Im not dead set on a certain size. I just want whatever is the minimum to clear 35s in the future. Is 10mm enough of a spacer to clear a 315/75/16 or 285/75/28?

Thanks for the info though. I don't think I need a full inch spacer/adapter.

10mm, with 285/75/18 will be fine. I wouldnt run a 315. But that is me. Things are tight enough up front. Plus you dont need the extra width of a 315 here in Socal. Talk to Spressoman about the 315's and spacers. He has tons of experience with both size tires and 10mm spacers.

I just installed 315's on mine using a 10mm wheel spacer and an OME lift. There are guys on mud with a ton more experience running 315's than me but playing around flexing the suspension after the tires went on I only had to trim the plastic wheel liners and adjust the turn stops slightly to get rid of any rubbing. I'm sure in some extreme cases they will rub as many will point out. Also remember not all 315's are created equal. I believe my Toyo AT2s are on the smaller side diameter-wise.
