Q. re 15 year rule - Canada

I read something about a proposal to roll back the 15 year import to Canada rule by one year each year starting sometime around now. Is this just a rumour or was there a plan to do this, or think about it? Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks Wayne. So I take it from your response there is no substance to this rumour at all? I had heard it a few months back but hadn't asked those that would know on this board. Too bad.

A colleague of mine was telling me that the rule is 15 years or brand new vehicles could be imported. I have not read all of the import laws, but this does not sound right. Any comments on this?
