Sounds like this dealer is going to hate us :)

Dan's gonna start puttting a "Buy it Now" button on his replies for people who need help = -) On a serious note, you guys(Dan, Dan, Kurt, Beowulf, the list goes on and on...) are the reason why I love the wonderful place we live in.....

Ok, maybe I need to back off on the coffee this am....

it is real funny to me to see someone actully remove some stuff under the shifter as all this can be done under the truck. there is no real reason to get in the cruiser when doing a tranny r&r. the only reason is that they have no experence with the truck and are following the manual to the letter. it sounds to me that the dealership does not service cruisers very much, as soon as your warranty is up you may want to find a good independent mechanic to take care of your truck. later robbie

Ask them to re-adjust the shift lever and you should be good-to-go.

Told ya it was the seal retainer.......;p

Got the truck back, receipt reads "Adjusted neutral safety switch and link shifter". Everything seems to be in working order - I can now remove the key without a problem. Hope this is the end of my drama... Thanks everyone!
