"allow" means you've allowed them to come thru. Play with the settings in your Preferences to control what alerts get pushed.

What I meant was when I push allow or block nothing happens, the allow and block dialog doesn't go away

The "allow/block" dialogue is universal to Android phones and universal to any website that requests notifications. Be sure your phone/browser is updated to the latest software versions.

I never see any dialogue, since I never need to re-login. That's something you change on your browser settings.

My bet is you are blocking cookies. Those cookies are needed to auto-login, push notifications, as well as many other forum features. There are a few settings you can play with regarding push notifications as well: https://forum.ih8mud.com/account/preferences

Anything that involves "reacts" is set for Alert only in my settings. Most everything else is set for "push"...which is why EVERY post in this forum section instantly sends me a phone push notification.
