did the 55's have a hinged flap piece that held the PTO lever?

I stripped a PTO winch out of a 77 FJ55 in a junk yard years ago. It had the hinged lock. But I not sure it was a factory installed winch. May have been added from a FJ40. It didn't have the FJ55 billow block bearing. I have 67 date FJ55 microfiche. If it had one it would show in there. It would be next week before I could check.

Here are a few pictures of a FJ55 with the PTO winch. This was from a thread started by D'Animal

If it was born with a factory pto, it should have the hinged plate

good to know, but is it the same as a 40 series? or much like most other items on our swine, are the flaps slightly different?

I have a few of these flaps from FJ40s and they looked the style. I will look at some of my microfiche from the 40 and 55 and compare the part numbers but my guess they are same. The FJ25 had a different flap but the PTO shifter was totally different too.

I'll be needing one of those when the LV is finally done.

I'm a little confused because I've seen the flap style of pto lock that's pictured above. I have found another style that is long discontinued from toyota in new old stock form and was curios if anyone has seen this style before?

Good Morning,

for a consultation please.

I have not been able to find this piece for my 1982 model FJ43, the only option I have is to manufacture it, it is possible to help me with the measurements by means of an image.

Thank you very much for your help
