PTO fit ???

Hi, just a question, does 1972 FJ40 PTO unit will fit LJ70 T-case with PTO gear.
Are the assembly holes and gear the same so that it can work ?

just a guess but I don't think so. The 72 is non split transfer case,the lj70 is a split transfer case.

no, bolt pattern is different as well the actual sizing is smaller with the old style...

Hope i didn't miss lead you all, found on eBay a PTO + Winch from FJ40 which i needed to know will it fit but... as you said it wont.

I need a PTO unit for a LJ70 series 2LT T-case , to BUY and to ship to Bulgaria. If someone has just PM-me.
If i cannot find one, i will have to manufacture one for this t-case and i think it is easier just to Buy and wait to come here.

Due to major changes in the T-case the standard PTO unit will not be used ( thanks to all that helped finding one !).
We started engineering a custom PTO suitable for the purpose needed with the required RPMs and torque.
