PS Pump Removal

Tried to remove PS Pump last nite.

Bolt thru bracket at rear facing the Exh. manifold has not enough clearance.

I see that the Exh. manifold is in sections.

Will simply removing the front section, adjacent to the bolt in question, give me the clearance?

Is there clearance to remove this part of the manifold?

Has anyone tried this? How much success? Sawzall not preferred option.

Someone put the "Longer" bolt in there. There is a shorter bolt that fits in that area.

You may have better luck removing the three bolts and taking the entire power steering pump bracket off the side of the block than trying to compress the exhaust manifold.

remove the whole bracket. Then pull the rear bolt that is too long and cut it. The next person who needs to pull the pump will be grateful.

Yup, bracket is way easier to pull
