This summer I finally got my eccotemp rigged up. It was very nice being able to stay clean on longer trips. Also nice having it for dishes... I think my camping dishes were cleaned properly for the first time this summer. My wife liked having foot baths too.

I used this pump. It provides less than ideal flow, but I gave it a try for $22. I have to keep the heater on the lowest setting with the reduced flow rate, otherwise it gets way to hot for skin. I usually have the heater hung at about 6', and the pump gets enough water up to the heater, but the flow isn't strong enough for a really nice stream out of the shower head. Loads better than a gravity solar shower, but not as good as a regular shower. A better pump would solve most my problems I think.

Dug this up again whilst searchin....

@asutherland was able to make 'hiself less stinky on our recent camping trip using our Coleman shower taking water directly from Cariboo Lake. He has a Zodi so could provide a comparison now.

The pumps put out about the same amount of water volume and pressure. Jeff's was a LOT physically bigger than the little unit I have, but it was also easier to use. (more stable, and could be started up simply by turning the dial... whereas with mine you have to light it, and start the pump individually).

Too bad I wasn't able to make my 80 less stinky :hillbilly:
