haha! yes i am bringing this back to life.

So its been a few years since this project was developed. How many of you guys that bought the bracket set up etc, installed them? I was digging around in a few boxes and found mine, i completely forgot that i bought it.
How was the install?

Is it still in?

Any long term issues?

how's the york compressor doing? rebuilt? replaced?

If you had to do it again would you and if not why?

I'm askin since my vacation time is always limited, is it worth the effort.

Install took me a couple weekends after sourcing the necessary parts but was relatively easy. I've still got it installed and so far the only issue I've had is a couple blown hoses (from the compressor to the mainfold in the bay). I believe my issues were due to heat. Next time I'd find a way to run a braided SS directly from the compressor to the manifold. Other than that one time my compressor blew its plug out... not sure what caused that but I found another one and locktighted it in.

I would definitely do it again... the system airs up my tires quickly and its awesome to just have it onboard. Not to mention using around the house for my other cars since I don't have a compressor!

I still use mine on a regular basis!

I would absolutely do it again.

I have a 209 in my 80. Running off a 3fe. Works flawlessly and fills my 33s from 17 to 40 in 30 seconds when the 3 gallon tank is at 120psi. You can't beat these compressors.

I made my own York bracket that positioned it so I could use a long A/C belt, not thing with that is I still use the stock A/C belt tensioner. Benefit with that is I have lots of room for the 2nd battery box that I run. I got the bracket made and system installed and working in a day. System has been bullet proof since I installed it. Love having the air supply, I have used it for air tools (1/4" line no issues) filling tires, blowing dust out of the truck and filling air mattresses. I'm very happy with the system and having is only cost me a total of $150 makes it all that much better.

Installed mine, minor problems with fit (which I believe are documented in this thread). i just used a junkyard compressor with no problems. Pulled the system last year and sold it to fund an engine conversion.
I would definitely do it all again, it was a great setup

Can you post a pic of your bracket that you use on your 3FE?

I'm about to start fabbing one and I'd like to get some ideas of what others have done to fit with a 3FE.
