Are you talking about the white one in Jacksonville, Fl for $64k? if so, good price.

Welcome back to the fold, @SWUtah . Where ya been?

Yeah moving to Jacksonville area next week this looks like a good one so you think $64,000 is a good price, i'll try to get it for $63,000. I'll then sell my 100 series to a member here because it's pristine and somebody here will get a great vehicle versus some stupid dealership screwing over on the trade-in. Got to keep them in the family

2015 LC under 10k miles. 2 years old, clean car fax, standard Toyota warranty, Mall queen. Southern vehicle no winter salty roads. Looks new, What would you pay??

Did they improve the 16's much over this 15?

FWIW, I bought my 2016 in October '16 with just over 10k miles for 69k. Was a mall cruiser driven by the dealer's wife. I would assume that same vehicle in 2017 would be about 65k, but I'm no pricing expert.

Bought my leftover 16 with 36 miles for $73,999.

Is the 16 better than a 15? Don't know. The only change I dislike about my 16 are the dumb dvd screens behind the seats. It seems like someone will eventually release a cover for the hole, though. Once there is mine are outta here.

I do like the grill and hood on my 16 better, but that's just my opinion with a good dose of owner's bias. :)

Another thing I like is that the center console isn't wood grain. The only wood grain accents are very dark and they are literally just accent strips around the doors and dash and on the steering wheel.

That's low miles. If you're hot to trot on a '15 (bear in mind it's still going to depreciate relatively quickly - if that matters), the least-expensive certified '15 I see on the web right now is $54,995 with 58k miles.

... With that said, it's a buyer's market for virtually any car right now. There's a storm looming on the horizon of 100,000s of leases coming back to the manufacturers in a time where they're actively seeking ways to increase profitability and market penetration into electrics and hybrids. With this known, some dealers are going to continue to price low-volume cars like the LC wherever they please and let well-heeled buyers wander in and pay asking for stuff like this.

But - I posit that in spite of the fact that the dealer with a 7500 mile '15 probably wants to see $65k+ for that truck, that's not a good value. If it were me (not that I'd look for a 15 - 13 and 14 are configured identically and I'd much rather let someone that's not paying attention eat another $10-20k of depreciation on a virtually identical truck) - I'd negotiate for $55k + TTL on that truck, or another truck, until someone bites.

That's my $0.02 - a lot of folks on here might cry foul and say that's way too low, but remember that the price is what a buyer's willing to pay. :) For my dollars, I'd be more likely to look into something like this 2013 with 75k miles and negotiate for Toyota to cert it for $43k + TTL.

Remember that Toyota's Certified program frankly sucks; I bought a certified truck, it was only good for 12 months or 12,000 miles, and in my case I have had to have the truck into my local Toyota dealer no less than 6 times in the first year at total repair cost of well over $3500, BUT, had to fight them tooth and nail every step of the way. FWIW, my issues were related to buying an east-coast truck, so, don't do that. :)

Either way, assuming you aim for something like the truck I linked above - you're looking at ~$20k+ saved for a truck that's taken the bulk of its depreciation and now will gracefully slide into the $30s over the next few years. Even with 10x the mileage the truck I linked above should drive identically to the low mileage model and do so for another 300k+ miles.

If it's your thing, $20k is a lot of modding!

I hear yeah my 2005 100 series with 148,000 miles it's perfect in every way and totally maintained and I could probably drive it 10,000 miles a year for the rest my life so I'm gonna take your approach since I really don't need another vehicle and I'm gonna go in and try to find one that I can steal thanks for the info

Howdy. What color interior on your 2005 (you might as well throw a couple pics of the inside up as well).....

Going back to your original question, Toyota made mostly design/aesthetic changes for `16, but it does have a new tranny (more gears, verdict is still out on that since mpg is not improved) with some new safety features such as land departure assist, etc. Up to you if the new bells are worth the $$$$ vs a `15
