I had it inspected by Land Cruiser specialists at Comprehensive Auto Care in Denver when I originally purchased the vehicle on August 7, 2013. I’ve taken very good careof the vehicle. Until 48 hours ago, I had not driven this car in about 2.5 years, though I’d start it every now and then to re-charge the battery, which I replaced in and has very little run-time on it. This cruiser still runs very strong.
Title is in my name, and I’ve own the car for 8 years. ALL PICTURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN LAST 48 HOURS, AS OF POSTING THIS ON AUGUST 12, 2021. (Note: Regarding the pictures, I have not washed the exterior or interior of this car in more than 3 years. I thought about waiting to make this post until after I’d detailed it, but I snapped some pics and figured I’d get it out there. Please reach out directly to see the car or for specific pictures, videos, etc.)
Of course, you can verify all dates and facts about the car via the title, emissions reports, and other paperwork I have for it...
In the last 48 hours, I’ve:
- Re-insured and re-registered the car, which is why the car has “new” plates on it (see pictures); if I sell it within the next 28 days, I do not need to go back to the DMV to have my old plates put back on the vehicle.
- Taken it to AirCare Colorado, where the car passed all emissions tests (I have the documentation).
- Added brand new BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2 285/75R-16 tires via Discount Tire (see pictures). All-in with mounting, balancing, taxes, and transferrable insurance ~$1,300. These new tires come with 1) a 50,000-mile warranty 2) I paid for the extra coverage to insure the tires against ANY total loss damage (i.e. nail, tree branch, etc.), which will transfer to the new owner because I have the receipts (or they can always use my phone number and transfer it to your phone number). So, if these blow out, before 50,000 miles for any reason, Discount Tire will replace these exact tires free of charge. As of this posting, I’ve only put about ~130 miles on these tires.
- Took it up I-70 to Clear Creek Canyon to Blackhawk (see pictures) and back down the canyon through Golden to Denver, so it still runs great on the highway and pulls its weight up those Colorado hills!
* Full time 4wd (4x4, AWD)
* Only modification is a Slee front bumper (see pics), which I had installed.
* Grey leather, and all the leather is intact. There is no cracking or breaking on the seats. In the pictures, you’ll see the grey “Superhides” from Marathon Seat Covers. I ordered these specifically for this make/model Cruiser when I purchased the car (see Custom High Quality Truck and SUV Seat Covers | Marathon Seat Covers - https://www.marathonseatcovers.com/) to preserve the leather. They’ve done a wonderful job and you can easily remove them to wash them, though I have not done so in years. Superhides and WeatherTech floormats included!
* Jump seats included; I’ve put them in the trunk, though have not clipped them in (see pictures).
Over the years, I’ve regularly serviced the car. I’ve stayed on top of fluid flushes and changes, replaced brakes and rotors, replaced the steering column, and I actually replaced the catalytic converter on March 19, 2018, which is essentially when I stopped driving the car. Since I’ve owned the car, I’ve always had it serviced at Comprehensive Auto Care in Denver, which was recently purchased by a new owner and is now called Urban Autocare (701 E Evans Ave); I called them the other day and they have all my service records on file, which I can pull if need be.
The only problems with this cruiser are cosmetic. Some bumps and bruises on it, and stuff you’d regularly find on a 25-year-old rig. Stuff like...there is some clear coat peeling and a ding on the back bumper. Driver’s side mirror needs a slight fix, though mirror glass is not broken and the actual mirror is not broken either (I can show you in pics/video or over the phone). You’ll also notice it is missing its “Full-Time 4WD” and “Land Cruiser” badges on the backside/trunk. Someone pulled these off my car, but they’re very cheap to replace. I’M PLANNING TO CLEAN/VACCUM THE CAR THIS WEEKEND, FIX THE MIRROR, AND ORDER THE BADGES. SO, MAYBE SOME OF THIS STUFF WILL BE FIXED WHEN YOU COME SEE THE CRUISER…BUT MAYBE IT WON’T BE. EASY AND MINOR FIXES.
In general, this cruiser is in great shape, it is mechanically sound and a terrific drive and, and it will be a fun toy for its new owner. It is priced to sell.
