Any new data points, ideally from 1958 buyers? I've never bought a new car, this would be the first and it is annoying trying to get info from local dealers.

1958s appear to be harder to come by these days. We bought a 2025 about a year ago. MSRP was right at $61k, we paid $54.5.

I'm in Salt Lake and bought a 1958 in November, full msrp. These sell before they hit the lot around here. Still, 59k is a great deal for one of these IMO.

Data point: We've been to three dealers (LX & Toy) and one had one new one in stock. All had several in build or shipping phase.

We're leaning towards a 4 cyl. (?)

Fuel costs keep rising steadily here on the east coast as today diesel was $6.09. My 3.0L Chevy diesel still getting about 27mpg but this is NJ so you need to Jack rabbit start from a red light, close any and all squeezable gaps in front, brake quickly as you coast up to the slow-poke in front of you and pass on a solid double yellow line.

If I could drive normally, I have gotten 36 mpg a few times in a more “desolate” area like the Pine Barrens. North Jersey is psychotic behind the wheel

We bought one a few weeks ago thru Costco buyers program. They knocked off a few thousand and had to wait for delivery as it was still on the ship from Japan.
