can the pressure plate from a 68 be resurfaced? This thing looks pretty beefy and I notice many sites selling clutch discs separately.

springs are the issue.
if they aren't up to spec, a shiny surface and new friction disc are wasted time and money.

Buy a new one. Readily available and relatively cheap, even the OEM Aisin/Asco
