Hi all

I'm in the process of fixing up all the common issues and thanks to this forum I have nearly finished all of them without a trip to the mechanic or electrician!

I have since run into issues with passenger side window which popped off the rail and now I can't get it back on , it's like it won't fit back into the rail, the rubber could use replacing but I wouldn't have thought that would stop it sliding or squeezing back into the rail channel
Anyone ideas or has this issue?

Ok I got it on but won't go back up it keeps getting stuck , looks like it's on the side grooves ok, maybe the scissors unit is buggered ....

Take off the plastic, look how it attaches to the roller. The roller slides out sometimes, roll it up halfway, slide the rollder back into the channel, and grab the top to help it up a time or two. The scissor mechanism usually isn't the culrit. Dirt and grime usually are. Clean the window runs, lubricate with whatever you think works best and try again.

I had to replace the window molding on a couple of my windows because they get stiff with age and grip the window too tightly. Like musthave said try lubing them first. If the glass slipped out of the metal bracket I found it easier to use some soapy water and slide it on from the side. Don't try to push it directly on where it would normally sit.

Thanks for that
I got it back on the rail but the window gets stuck when I try putting the window back up, goes down ok, looks like it's in the side guides ok... I'll try get at it with some degreaser and silicone spray
Is it normal for the mechanism to have some play in it I can wobble it around a fair bit while the weight of the window isn't on it , once the weight is down the play is gone

You have to have some play. If too tight it will break easily. Lube.
