Looking at purchasing a 1981 bj60 in Canada. It doesn't have power steering. Is there anyone that makes a power steering kit or maybe electric? It has the diesel.

It would seem that finding and installing a used FJ60 or FJ80 steering box would be the easiest and cheapest route. You'd then have to round up a pump and find or fabricate mounts.

the OP is stuck with the earlier PS box, he can't use the later without modification.

X2 use an earlier box, can be from a gas or diesel, and stock pump
