I had leaking from the upper 1/3 of the a-pillar bilaterally. I followed the info in this thread and the repair thus far has worked perfectly.

I removed the old sealer with a screw driver, then wire wheeled it to bare metal and primed it. After a day or two I applied the sealer.

Initially I used 3M Drip Check and found it very difficult to work or spread and aborted after a very short section. I let it dry and cleaned it out and reprimed.
At this point I used the 3M ultrapro mentioned in the thread with the cheap gun also mention and it worked like a charm. It's much easier to work/spread.

I used mylar sheeting available at art or hobby stores and cut it in strips the bent it double to form a U shape and that worked very well to smooth/spread the ultrapro.

I determined that the bottom left corner of my seal is the culprit and leaks in heavy rain/snow, or when washing the vehicle.

Just so happened to have a can of spray "Plasti-Dip" laying around and figured... what the hell I will spray some in the corner and see if it seals it. Used some painters tape and created area in the corner and then painted it with the plasti-dip. Did it like the instructions said with multiple very light, almost mist like coats and I am happy to say that after a couple weeks of running it and multiple heavy short rainstorms it has not leaked once!!!

Fixed one of my leaks. There’s anothe small leak coming from right above the gas pedal. Seam sealer inside the cowl separated. Fixing it at the moment.
My first one was coming from the kick panel area. You can see the Water stream marks on the dusty surface.

I would say that those gutters have failed and need to be re-sealed.

For a fast and easy repair, I used the Eastwood tank sealer and am happy with the results. Removed the chrome; cleaned and dried the gutters well; taped the body below the front ends so no dripping would get on the paint; put the truck at a slight downhill angle so it would flow better; started at the rear and did about 3 feet at a time. I used a a small artists brush to make sure the sealer uniformly covered. Let it dry over night and went back to touch up a few areas, especially from the front doors and forward. Waited another day and put the bling back on. A benefit of the Eastwood sealer is that it dries white to almost the exact color of my white FJ62 (045), no touch-up paint needed! A have blasted all angles with water and the inside A pillar and lower carpets are dry for the first time in a year. I'll let you know when/if this fails, but it looks perfect and seems solid for now.

Update to my gutter repair with Eastwood tank sealer - After 7 years, not a drop of water has gotten to the inside carpets. My son has used this truck as a daily driver for all of those 7 years, with no issues and no peeling or separation. Very happy with the easy fix, but it was easier due to the white color of the truck.

My son has used this truck as a daily driver for all of those 7 years, with no issues and no peeling or separation. Very happy with the easy fix, but it was easier due to the white color of the truck.

Last update, as we just sold the truck. (very sad day, but my son is now 24 and needed a more appropriate daily driver.) This repair never failed in 9 years of daily driving. It never peeled or flaked at all and no water ever came in through the gutters or windshield areas.

I used less than one whole tube. I also put in more than I probably should have.
