Brave man cutting that hole in the roof........I am curious though, is the benefit of this to be able to stand up inside and get dressed? That's about all I can think of.

The big advantage to cutting vs. not cutting is being able to move about freely inside the vehicle, but it's much more than just changing clothes (heck, I change in the outback privy more often than not). I camped/slept in the back of my 4Runner on a platform and it was a bit too "cozy" to be considered a long term solution. Now even when the weather's bad I've got options. I'm working on an interior setup to take maximum advantage of the space - more updates to come.;)
