What did you think about it, my pig is white green black and some faded red primer, just trying to get it all one color so the wife will let me park It in the drive way lol, did it hold up?

Hmmm... I've never sprayed it over large areas (just trim pieces, emblems, etc.). The little bit I've sprayed has held up, but then again, it's been just little pieces.

There's actually alot of info on it over in the 100 section (those guys LOVE it). I'm not sure what climate you're in, but some of the guys from Hot-lanta have had it crack on them (although I don't know if they followed the recommend application - several light coats then a thicker one). Here's an interesting like: https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/746332-plastidiping-hood.html#post8613310

I've watched alot of the youtube videos and have read on other forums that guys get a couple of years out of their plastidip if applied correctly.

I say give it a shot and post some pics!!

71greenpig,

Are you thinking about painting the whole wagon in this. Maybe use just a good, cheap paint, even rattle can will look great, then when you want move up to a better paint job, it won't be so hard to remove.

I've used it for small pieces that I dipped, works great, but I don't know how long it will last.

My unsolicited opinion is plastic-dip is for FJCs and tool handles.

What a mess that'd be to remove, because I'd think you'd want to directly after.

I'm with Ron. Good quality rattle can job, that won't be a mess later on, when/if time comes for final finish.

Great advice guys, I already purchased the stuff from a friend 3 gallons and sprayer and will rattle can the rest.. Will be two tone... Camo green on bottom and top, middle will be black and the hood...

Some body shops are now offering a plasti-dip that is spray on with a gun. One of my local shops does this for 400-500 bucks and comes out looking good. They just started the service so i cant really speak about durability or anything.

I had heard about the rust it's a concern I am going to prime the places I see....for sure and keep a close eye on trouble more pron places
