i borrowed a friends plasma cutter a couple weeks ago to cut some pieces from the parts pig and make some brackets for my scooter. while i had it, i decided to cut out what was left of the bondo fender on the 76. got to say, i love plasma:grinpimp:

btw, bondo dust does fly well...it's all over my garage

all went well until i looked inside. i'll have to research to see who's had to deal with this and how they did it. in the meantime, i plan on cutting some sheemetal from the parts piggie to make patch panels for the fender.

 Whoa, rusted clean thru to the inner panel :bang: You know when the plasma arc hits bondo for sure. Both my fender & whellwell area looked similar. I patched the inner & cut out/ repaired both areas but left the fender high to run tube fenders. One of the biggest issues is cutting back far enough to find good weldable metal w/o burning thru, not to mention the compound curves you'll need to make too. That's a time consuming reconstruction. Get at it
