2nd time out on the trail

Had the almost complete Pig out on the trail weekend before last along the Dolores River just over the UT line from CO. Getting chilly enough I'd better get the heaters in. Still need to move things around to install the Ranger odrive between the SBC and Toyota 4 spd. and get the bucket seats in. Third is a poser pic en route home from our single night at Cruise Moab, prior to the lift.

FJ55 Sighting in ND

I am a 60 series guy and don't often visit this forum but thought I would drop a note here for anyone that might be interested in a recent "retired Pig" spotted in SW North Dakota.

I was travelling on a Sunday and no one around to talk to about the vehicle and I didn't have a camera handy so sorry, no pictures.

The vehicle is a "bush find" and seems to be relatively complete although there is considerable rust perforation.

PM me if this is of interest and I can contact people in the area for details or I have some basic leads that might get you to the owner.

Again, no contact made so I don't even know if the 55 is available for sale or not.

It seems that this might be in the wrong spot, I will leave this here and repost.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of lift did you put on? My springs are a saggin'!!!

Beautiful pig and looks like good times!

It's an amalgamation of parts collected in various buys, mostly on this forum. Short story is we disassembled the spring packs, added unused but 10+ year old long Man-A-Fre add a leafs to each, reassembled with new bushings, and also 1 inch extended shackles all around. Difference from stock to lifted is just over 3" and it sits virtually dead level on all four corners. Example of how it's better to be lucky than good. Expect it'll settle in some.
Now need to get some extended shocks as it's pretty choppy, particularly in the rear, as we're right at the end of the shock travel there.

Thanks for the answer.......sticking true to the 'Frankencruiser' moniker! :)
