I've almost rounded up all the weatherstripping for my rig, except for cargo window rubber, upper tailgate, and rear door fixed window rubber. Starting this thread to see if there are any other options out there other than one company. I've never used them and I'm sure it's a quality product, but paying a grand for some preformed molded pieces just eats at me. There are whole rigs out there you can buy for a grand. There's gotta be other companies out there already making the same thing or that will take measurements and do an aftermarket piece. Just wanted all your thoughts and maybe we could come up with something other than monopolizing the pig products!

I need the fixed rear window seal...and feel the same about the gouging price for it.

Very interested in this topic also. The price on the rubber restoration kits ($2300 or more) is holding me back from jumping into body work and paint.

After speaking with the above link sales, as soon as I said Toyota he wanted to hang up on me because they only deal with domestic classic rubber. He even referred me to cruiserparts.net...anyway, I asked him if there was a way I could give him measurement for our fixed rear door windows and use the same rubber in the link. He said their r&d team was a year behind (they must be doing well) so I just ordered 10 feet of the stuff to see if I could make it work. Total was around $35 shipped.

I feel the pain of Pig rubber prices, and will offer my thoughts...
I have fabbed a few small items for our Piggies, but nothing like what John at Slo Cruisers is offering. My feelings are not that John is seeking a monopoly or price gouging us. It takes a lot of time to find a vendor that will repro such low volume items. I have had so many people just stop talking to me when I talk about volumes, they don't even want to talk about price.
So I am all for innovation and creating our own solutions for a better Piggy future, but based on my dealings with John, he is a stand-up guy.
Hope that helps.

I'm definitely going to use him at some point, whether door panels or what weatherstripping I can't source. We should all be thankful for companies like Slo Cruisers that are in business for our pigs. My whole issue is that we have no other choice and the products I need are out of my price range at the moment. I might as well look for an alternative to some of the higher priced pieces while I save up...
