Took the pig on a little rock crawling this weekend up out of Buena Vista, Colorado. Nice time. Thought I would share some pictures of our experience.

Are the boggers 37's? That's a lot of lights! I know you sent me to your build thread but I forgot. What tcase are you running? Axle gears? I bet those tires are noisy on the road!

Damn. I thought I was awesome with 107 to 1. Now I don't feel very cool:crybaby:

Very tough looking rig.......looks like you had some fun!!

Could you post a pic of the snorkel set up up close and under the hood please? I intend to do something similar and need some ideas.

I would also love some pics of your snorkel... great looking pig

Nice build. Gotta let me know if you ever hit the San Juans or SE Utah. Pigs like company!

where'd you go? pearl pass area?

I was wondering too

I will shoot some pictures of the snorkle tonight after work. The passes we did were tincup, williams, tomichi, and hancock. Unfortunatly these were the best pictures i got. Its hard to shoot pictures and drive. Gotta work on that.

Looks like a little much for a Piggy on 33's

Here are snorkle pictures:

Are you running a 3FE set up on a 1F?

A pig on 33's would have very little trouble on any of those roads. Mine has been doing them for years with tires sizes 33 and smaller. The other two vehicles I went with are a stock 92 Toyota pickup and a slightly modified bronco II.
It is a 1.5f with a 3fe intake.

Does the 3FE intake give the 1.5f a kick or is it the injection that is the real advantage? Maybe thats a dumb question but I was just curious as I haven't read any threads on doing that.

You had to use the 3FE head to get everything to bolt up, correct?

There are some advantages about using the fuel injection. It idles smoother then it ever did and off road it purrs no matter what kind of angle it is at. I had all the non-usa carb and distributer set up before which ran good but out fourwheeling up a really steep hill with a step in the middle of it, it would stall when i would hit the step. it would fire right back up by itself but it was a little scary at times. I really only did it because i had all the parts laying in my shed and I wanted to see if I could do it.
It is not a 3f head. The engine is all original. I had to machine myself some adapter plates and tig welded those to the fuel injection manifild. Other than that it was easy.
