Pig fuel tank question.

With the OE tank, there are two lines on the side the fuel pulls from and returns on. Does it matter which one is draw and which is return? The tank was taken out before I got the truck and I am trying to reinstall one and need to know which is which.

I’m pretty sure it matters. I know on 40’s it does. Here’s a microfiche screenshot. 77241B is called main fuel, 77277B is described as a return.

So if I'm reading that correct, 77241B is the hose that the pump pulls fuel from. That is the inlet closes to the rear of the tank then.
