Hey mudders,

I just picked up a 1994, "GT" the green truck, and I'm loving this color.

Question, I need some touch up paint for a driver door handle and a red fender flare. Anyone have a recommendation on 6M1 touch up paint sources?

cheers,

Joel

You can still buy 6M1 touch up paint from Toyota.

Cheers

I recently bought an aerosol from touch up direct and it was a perfect match for moonglow pearl, so I don’t doubt their emerald green would match. I’ve used them for a Ford white color and it was also dead on.

Thanks, guys! Seems like several different options. I have never wanted to paint a truck, but my truck has no rust, and other than a couple of dents on driver side doors, it's straight as an arrow. The 6M1 is an amazing color when freshly painted, wow.

I always wanted to change colour to white, but then I changed my rims and got clear glass windows. Got 80 series OEM steelies painted black, and now I really like the colour. Although mine was repainted and pretty bad IMO. Here some pics.

When I had mine repainted, I went to Sherwin Williams Automotive and got their top of the line paints and had them mix up 6M1 for me.

Also, I’m in NE TN

If I ever have to repaint, it'll be from white to 6M1

I miss the old GreenTruck:

Sadly, it didn't buff out, but Farmers Insurance took care of me, paying roughly twice what it was bought for after 50,000 miles and 15 years of service.

Paint still looks mostly good.

Man, that is terrible,

Man, that is terrible,
Could've been much worse. I dozed off 10m minutes from home returning from a historical society convention, woke up as I went off the opposite side of the two-lane, started to slow to get back on the road, then there suddenly was a culvert at a crossroads. Flipped it ass forward over 180 degrees. After a couple of punches at the seatbelt while hanging upside down, I self-extricated. Had a couple of cracked ribs and glass in my knees from crawling out. The airbag did wonders and don't forget to wear your seatbelt. That's why I bought another truck with airbags.

Notice that while bent, the ARB pretty well protected the engine compartment. I should've given my tech chance to help me buy it back for parts as the motor was likely in great shape - considering.

I would like to find a reputable supplier of the “full time four wheel drive” side strips. I see some people running them, and they look great. All I can’t find is eBay sellers with them, and they are international sellers….

Anyone have a good experience with those type sellers?

Sorry for the 6M1 hijack

I'd try to find a good local vinyl shop
