Very nice, clean stock PTO winch...no cable? Does it work?

Rebuilt the PTO a couple of months ago. Installed 150' of WARN 5/16" - works great.

Nice are the rear springs flipped SUA

Yup rear springs are flipped SUA. Gave me a about 4 extra inches on my rear driveshaft which I needed since I have a 700R4. I'm thinking about adding a leaf in the rear. After I built and installed the rear tire carrier, put on the hard top, and the springs settled, the back sits a little lower than the front.

I am sure you are aware of the ride difference with the generic aftermarket add-a-leaf. I am not sure how it would work, but adding a longer leaf from an OEM pack may give you what you need. There is also the custom pack from Deaver or Alcan option for this. Not necessarily the cheapest option, but IMHO the best.

Now back to our topic of choice GREEN FJ4Xs!

QUESTION! Probably stupid, but I am gonna ask it anyway. was there ever a green (any OEM green) troopie? All I have ever seen is White, Tan, Mustard, maybe Smurf Blue and Red.

'78(mostly) with the stylish riveted body panel look and that ever popular rattlecan green camo (so you can't see how bad the body is.)

did somebody say green cruiser?

On general principle I'm not a fan of black hard-top roofs and black bezels, but I have to say in your case I'll make an exception; they look good on your truck with that color of green . :hillbilly:

No idea what this color is called but I get a lot of compliments on it! Most likely a rattle can job by the PO. The original color was beige. Someday I'll probably repaint the truck but for now I like the worn, faded look of it.
