I was pretty lucky with mine too. No major rust at all, just surface rust here and there. It was in New Mexico most of its life in a barn but I got it from a guy in Amarillo Tx. who had only had it for 3 years. He kept in in a shed most of the time also. It seems to be that not many rust free cruisers are out there just waiting to be snatched up. Your seems to be in good shape.

MDH33 - I love the stance of your rig. What did it take to get it like that? Suspension, tires etc. Looks to be 4" with 34"s??

Mark- Soon buddy. I'll be looking to you and others for LOTS of advice. You guys have gotten me this far...

Thanks. I'm running a 4" Downey SUA lift with 1.5" over shackles in the front and 2.5" over in the rear. Stock steel wheels with Interco 34x10.5 LTB's. Still running the manual steering set-up which is no problem with the tall skinny tires.

Nice looking 40! I think I saw that 40 last month while visiting CU Boulder. Pretty sure it is the same rig. What's the professor's name? I was visiting the Geology department at CU...

Texas Girls with 40's love beer too.

Texas girls with 40's...nice! Never heard of such a thing. The prof's name is Stoldt. He's in the mechanical engineering dept.

Thanks! I'm sitting here tapping my foot, waiting, waiting for my new 40. Can't wait!
