Richie at CBT was nice enough to pull together pricing for BENO's entire parts list. Let's just say that the less parts you need the better!

Total for every part is north of $7K. But if you do not need things like valves, rods, a new radiator, knock sensor, cap/wires, etc... the price comes down to a 'manageable' number. Probably still around 3-4K.

Probably not cool for me to post CBT pricing for all the parts on the forum but if anyone wants a copy of the sales order PM me and I can email it to you.

Thanks! mtkreitz

And for the update. The truck will be running on the repaired motor for a bit while I build and test fit. I miss my Lc. I can't have it down long.

I have a few parts coming.
AEM Infinity Ecu They do make a piggyback and I thought about that route. But this is hard to beat. I'll just need a trans controller now.
Aim MXL Pista Dash ( I have a spare from my track car. Which now runs off a samsung 7 inch tablet)
Garrett IC 28" Wide - 6.5" Tall - 3.0" Thickness. 2.5" inlet and outlet
CP pistons 8.5:1

I need to source a new radiator for the v mount system. But I'll have to mock up everything then size it. This route will require the use of electric fans. The new ECU will trigger those.

I made a custom aluminum shroud for dual SPAL 14" fans. Let me know if you need one and we can have it waterjet cut and bent on my brake.

Richie from CBT said that the overhaul gasket kit and main bearings are not available. I asked him if that was perm or temp. He was not sure but said he would line up some for me in the event they do something silly like stop stocking them stateside...

Has the new electric fan set up been stress tested, conditions?

let me know, ill copilot!

So a update here. I was rolling the bearings in on the motor in my LC. I had a bad feeling about it. So I when the weather cooled off. I pulled the motor.
Pulling the motor wasn't to bad. I left the slush box in the truck.
Anyways.

The cylinder #1 was scored. The crank damage was on 5, 6 and 7. What a mess.

I have a new crank. I'm looking for a machine shop to clean up the block.
I have new rods. No worries there.
And now I have to resize new pistons. And since I am there. I can set the comp ratio. 8.5:1 to 11.5:1 give or take a bit for block and head work.

This is the 2nd 1FZ in a month that I have torn down to find cylinder scoring. Its a bit concerning.

yeah its called keep driving till it stops :(

bummer on the scoring, but now you can build it your way. with the turbo, what compression ratio do you think you'll be going with?

Keep it coming !

Old motor on stand. Eh motor #3. Another used motor on the tire.
That motor was pulled apart last night.
Have to drop the pan later today. It's going to be my temp motor. After I reseal and clean up.

As for the build motor. 8.5:1 I think. That way I can run boost. But 9.0:1 has better transition on and off boost.
Still in the air. I have to get a head cross sectioned to see what port work can be done.

Had to share this meme :D
