PO was running a Flamethrower coil in my '75. I have a new epoxy Flamethrower II to swap in - but are they interchangeable? The biggest difference that I can see, besides an extra 5,000 volts, is the resistance is about half in the Flamethrower II.

Thanks

Sure they interchange. The high performance voltage hype is a con. The spark voltage is determined by the spark plug gap and the air/fuel charge; not the coil. Any coil can fire any plug under any conditions in a 2F. As long as it makes a spark it is all equally good. Anything more is wasted energy.
