Passenger Side Compressor Mount Bracket - GX460

I talked with LFD and I am planning on modifying the mount to make it work abd getting back with LFD on what I do. Planning on spacers with stainless hardware and bringing it up enough to let the coolant lines be less kinked underneath

The twin brushless is actually relatively small.compared to the old double. I will probably have to relocate the relay box or adjust its position to allow for fitment.

I'd be nice to see a side by side comparison of this and ARB's older twin which I have.
See how long to fill up a 35 incher from 12 PSI to 35 PSI.
Let us know if you ever come by someone with the older ARB and are able to do a side by side comparison on any size tire with the same start and end PSI.
Note, you'll probably need to use the same air hose, valve chuck and tire with the two compressors to avoid air restriction from different hose I.D.'s. between the two compressors.

I almost have it. I just need the mount over about 1.5 inches or so. Should be able to finagle into place. I have very little pressure on my coolant lines

That's looking really good @Hiluxforever. Nice work.

I actually gave up on trying to fit the LFD and I returned it.

I ended up deciding to try the SD offroad mount. It's specifically drilled and cut-out for certain electrical bits and I had other things in mind, so I had to drill a bunch of different holes for what i wanted to do.

In the end, I'm not completely happy with this setup, but it's in, and the compressor is usable again, and I've got a power cut-off solenoid in and ready to attach the winch wiring. I'll just be running it like this for now for a bit. Cause the whole install was a PITA and I don't want to re-do it anytime soon.

I need to adjust the one lower bolt and I may need to go road kill and use a zip tie to pull the mount over.

Then I need to use different holes on the fender to rotate everything clockwise from a top down view. Then it should work.

I may have to do some cutting on the bracket. But I have a bunch of fabrication brackets handy from doing the grill.

Bracket is in and rock solid. Its a bit kit bashed. Will share photos later.

I did hear back from LFD and it sounds like they will be making a revision to their next run of compressor mounts so it can be mounted higher up and not impinge into the heater hose area so much.

So thats a win.

Its tucked away a bit but its a good 2.5 to 3" higher than the original application. I dont know if the old double would fit this way. I also wouldnt be comfortable with a compressor here that didnt have active thermal management.

As a suggestion, and this has worked great for me, get a couple of reusable cable tie (zip tie) and zip tie your air line to your compressor. Then have your air tools (tire inflator, blowgun, etc.) mounted on that large flat panel over the radiator. Then, whenever you need air, all your attachments are right there. No digging around looking for stuff. Easy-peasy!

I have a 4 way in flation system and will be adding a chuck somewhere to plug innmy air hub, so i should be able to hide all but the chuck.

Also, I wouldnt want to expose my lines to the conditions of my engine bay. I think in Cali the conditions are much kinder to vehicles than the colder parts of the country that see at least some salt use. I keep ky stuff in a canvas army laundry bag reject I got cheap. I use then for recovery gear too. They mold into weird spaces better than hard containers.

I too have a 4 tire manifold type inflation system, and that's kept in the back. The air line and air fittings in the front are for the one-off need, like the other day after church and fellow in our parking lot needed air in just one of his tires. I opened the hood and everything I needed was there!

I keep that stuff in my cubby.

I am going to have a lot more room once I removed the arb compressor in a tool box from my back area.

Some of the trails j do will get mud gunk everywhere and not all comes off easy (Kingston Peak for one)
So I put that stuff in back. I am.in the process of changing my tool storage and going to Klein little canvas tool pouches. I bought 3 big 14" ones then I am going to buy theit $60 assotwrted aize and color. Should allow me to condense my tools down into a much snaller space.

Just a reminder, get a male coupling quick release "plug" for your compressor so you don't get crud blowing, falling, etc. into your compressors female outlet coupling when not in use.
Yeah, I don't have one in my photos, and I've been meaning to make one for it. Maybe this weekend?

I have most all my trails tools, which is a pretty complete set of mechanics tools and a couple of power tools (remember, I have that 3k inverter and 100' ft of extension cord) that I keep in s couple of those heave canvas (carpet bag style) bags that I keep in the back. I want to do a draw system and 3D print tool holders for all my tools but too many distractions in my life.

I planned on just using the caps that come with then for that purpose

I pretty regularly toss my air hoses into dirt snow or mud. Just gotta pet stuff blowout.
