I'm totally new to Toyotas, having passed most of my hobby time on old Mercedes. What are the best sites for OEM parts? Any other resources, tutorials, or YouTubers that are generally considered essential among LC owners? I have a lot to learn, thanks.

Depending on the part you're looking for @NLXTACY has a great website - Absolute Wits' End - that has a pretty large inventory. I really like that he has kits for all the main radiator hoses, heater tee's w/hoses, vacuum lines, valve cover gaskets, etc...

Welcome, there are some really smart folks here to help those who demonstrate that they have done their homework mate... ;)

Toyotapartsoverstock.com is Lakeland Toyota. They are my go-to for parts I need fast, since they are in Florida (20 minutes from my house, actually). Not a lot of Cruiser knowledge, but they give me the online price when I pick up my order in person, and they get almost anything next day, even the weird little parts.

This is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to learn about. With leaky valve covers, I just gave my first $100 to @NLXTACY and expect we'll exchange more than that down the road. Thanks for the tip!
Try snugging down those valve cover bolts first, you may find they’re simply loose. Use a 10mm and low torque to prevent breaking the small bolts: 53 in-lb, or 4.4 ft-lb. max.

🙏I'll give that a shot and keep the new kit in storage if it makes a difference.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. My folder of browser bookmarks is growing.
