Well, brake job needs to wait. As you can see in the pic, the roof rails hold a carrier rack and had a jack, shovel and axe bolted. Well, I pulled into a parking garage, the entrance was high enough but not all of the garage was high enough. The bottom lip of the hi-jack caught a concrete beam and ripped out the roof rails off. The impact ripped one side of the rails along with the bolt in the nutserts off the roof clean and on the other side, partly pulled the nutserts and rail out.
A body shop I stopped at for a quick damage assessment first said they would’ve to weld pieces in but then said they might be able to do with 10mm thread rivets. Sigh, so need to wait till Monday for a more accurate assessment and quote
