Drifter definately did a much better report than i have to offer . I guess he missed out on the junkyard rally ride in the pontiac 6000!!
(any wheelin is good ) anyways the guy that drove me out to the cruiser did show me the front axle assbly. up by the shed looked like they other yota axles too. Dashwas nice windows are good but windshield smashed drive shafts as you could see inpics I couldn't get thehatch open tail gate was way better than mine. theinterior will clean up nice though. Mine was alot filthyer and it came out clean. o well sounded good.

I did miss out on the ride.Mannnnn I've been to that junk yard about a half of dozen times and never ever even once got to ride the Pontiac 6000.You lucky dog!Oh well I have ridden in my grandmothers. Did you get to ride in the Subaru with the front rims put on with inside facing out to give it a wider stance. So it looked kind of like an angry bulldog.Ok enough of these shenanigans.I wish I worked at a junk yard.Man that is way cool they have the front end there.I asked the dude at the parts counter and he said they didn't but somebody needs to call Paul Harvey because now we know "THE REST OF THE STORY".Look out if you buy it though.I have heard horror stories about buying axels assemblies from these guys.Make sure you inspect everything very closely, otherwise you might be up the proverbial creek with out a paddle. That latch thing on the upper hatch is a bear.I took the plate off to inspect for corrosion and was able to get it to open as well.It might just be the latches are in to much of a bind from all the damage and sitting all wonky.I also found a couple of otherthing that somebody might want for there other ride those chrome rims looked like they're in good shape.I think they looked like 5 on 4-1/2 with around 4 inches of b/s but didn't have a tape with me.The ieght lugs had some nice looking BFG all terrians on them I didn't look at the size(I'm a rock),but thinking back they looked like about 33's or so.That last picture is for those of you who like junkyard picts.I always see some pretty crazy stuff anytime I got to one. It's the headliner of the 85 mini Toyota.Way ehhe um
groovey?

you're right rob junkyards are fun I hadn't been to one in 4-5 years It's funny you mention the subaru because thats what I've always seen the employees driving around the yard(never a muffler on a junkyard car???) They also had a nice selection of troopers proably 6-7 of them( sorry i have soft spot for troopers). Good lookin' out rob fun times at the junkyard
Thanks, Bryan

Nevermind on the mirror. Those aren't the same kind I have anyways. I think I actually have mini-truck/fourunner mirrors. Don't worry about it. Thanks anyways man, and again I appreciate you looking.

Brian

oh yeah...drivers side mirror?

Brian

I have a LH side mirror too. I think I only have 1 side of the aftermarket 62 lookin' ones, but I have a set of the OEM little black ones. Lemmee know if you want 'em.

I have a mirror you can have for the price of shipping. The small black original or a 62 style metal one. Take your pick.

Right ON. PM'n you now. Thanks!!!

Oh crap. Answered my question I had for you. I'm looking to upgrade to the larger 62 mirrors. If you have both sides of those, I'll take em. Let me know when you can. Thanks man!

Thanks for the offer, but my mirrors are the ones off of a mini-truck with a metal "loop" that mounts it to the body.

Only have the one, and I'll tell you why...those metal 62 style mirrirs are no better (function wise) than the originals.

When I bought my 60, I did not like the small black mirrors and wanted to upgrade. The 62 series knockoffs appeared bigger than the originals, and I assumed they would provide better vision. And they were quite inexpensive, so I decided to go that route. When I went to buy them, the store was out of the LH side, so I just got the RH and intended to get the other when they were back in stock. In the meantime, I mounted the one I got and did not like it at all. The glass is skinny and flat and IMO provides no better vision than the stock mirrors.

You are welcome to the one I have. Obviously, you then would only have to buy one for a matching set.

You can have the pair of original blacks if you want those.

My best advice would be to get the metal Aussie mirrors. That's what I finally wound up with, and could not be happier. They work and look great. They are expensive, but check out prices of side view mirrors for other cars and trucks. They ain't cheap!
