Thanks in advance for the assist here.
I am rebuilding my wife's 1970 spring green fj40 steering gearbox.
However, I cant seem to get a hold of a new Sector Shaft roller kit, which will be necessary for this job.
Toyota part: 04452-55010

Any chance a 40 enthusiest local or abroad happens to have this NOS?

Located in Colorado. Other ideas welcome.
thanks again!

Mark showed a pic of a box of rollers he found on the shelf - not sure he will sell one without rebuilding the unit.

Might be time to consider a powering steering conversion that you can get parts for.

Got any local machining buddies, I think the parts could be made easy enough. Even heat treatment can done in small shops.

Left Mark a voice mail. I know he wont call me back, but worth a try anyway.
Good call. Really trying to keep original, but good idea on a machine shop.
I am pretty rural/remote so any reccomendations that have experience in this would be great

As stated by @Spike Strip , I have had a long standing policy (over 10 years) of keeping my stock of sector rollers for in-house rebuilds. Selling a roller is like shooting myself in the foot, as it means I have lost the means to rebuild one more steering box, which is part of my livelihood.

You are welcome to send me your box for an evaluation and possible rebuild. I say possible rebuild, because it is no longer a given that replacing the sector roller will be sufficient. I had a customer ship me a steering box from Alaska last year that I put a brand new roller in, and the box was still not acceptable: the worm gear was too far gone, even though it didn't look it. ☹️
