Hi everyone
Can someone tell me where this part goes?

Part # 61414-60020 “reinforcement”

I thought it had something to do with the rocker panel cover but I’m not sure.
I have taken all the cladding off the truck and have not seen this piece.

Does it go inboard of the rocker?
Anything to do with the running board?

I don't know. The service manual doesn't show it.

The Body Repair Manual doesn't really show it.

I think it is internal to the rocker panel and serves as reinforcement (nuts) for attaching the lower trim step.

I didn’t see it in the service manual either.
Didn’t know about the body repair manual.
Do you have any pics of the upper tailgate you can post?

I have some rust on the lower left of the window under the gasket and driver side “dog leg” by the rear wheel.
