Hi all,

I've done my due diligence and searched, but to no avail. I just did my rear brakes this past weekend (new rotors and pads). Last time I changed them I was on the road and didn't have tools for facilities available, and so used a shop. Unbeknownst to me, when the shop changed out the rotors, they did not take out the parking brake access rubber plug and replace it in the new rotors. It is a small item, but irritating. I'd like to keep dirt and grime out of the parking brake mechanism. i thought about using a dab of RTV, but then decided I'd just go without, order the part, and drop them in later. For the life of me, I can't find the part # (or even the part) from Toyota. Any idea on the part number for that small rubber plug?

Thanks!

Mark

Thanks @suprarx7nut ! I'm usually better at digging into the parts diagrams. Clearly I failed on this one! Much appreciated.

What source is this? Would appreciate you sharing. Thanks!
As dumb as this sounds, I am not at liberty to say publicly. Shoot me a PM. I believe I'm allowed to share that info to an individual, but not post publicly.

If you go to partsouq.com you can input your VIN and see all of the parts diagrams.

People also seem to forget you can pick up the phone and call your local Toyota parts department. Let them do the searching.

A fair point, Mike, though I find that for some parts (infrequently sought?), it can take some time to explain what I am looking for over the phone. I have had more than a few long calls with my local dealer trying to nail down a part. Maybe that says more about my ability to provide a description than theirs to identify what I am seeking. In other instances, with part numbers I know or parts I can easily name/describe, they've been super helpful.
