I have an 88 4RNR, did twin cases on an auto, and rear disc conversion was done years ago. LSPV gone!
Now I am faced with "safety requirements" and need to install some sort of Parking Brake.
Any Ideas ?

Seems that people go to the t-case mounted parking brakes with disc conversions. The LSPV has nothing to do with the parking brake.

Yeah, the t-case brake is really your best option. I have a really old All-Pro unit (bought it right after they came out way back in 2001), it works well. Sky Manufacturing also makes one. Be sure to check clearances, I believe there is an issue with dual cases in 4Runners, the rotor hits the floor or other stuff.

Thanks, I know about T-case E brake, I also know the LSVP has nothing to do with the parking brake. :D

The only T-case mounted parking brake I can find, states "will only work with manual tranny". This is why I am here asking the masses. Maybe someone knows something new.

Ok, so why did you mention it like it had something to do with the question?

What transfer cases do you have with the twin cases? The reason the t-case disc brake typically doesn't work with an automatic is because the t-case behind the automatic is the chain driven case and they don't cut the brackets for those. But I'm assuming that you've mated gear driven cases to the automatic when you did the twin cases - so you're golden.

I mentioned it because I was trying to give as much detail about what was done to the brake system, or what I have, so a person could draw a mental picture. My apologies, I'll try to be more concise in the future.

If the PO used GM calipers on the rear like a Land Cruiser conversion, you could use Eldorado calipers for an e-brake.

I am the PO, have owned it since it was new. :)
However I had the disc conversion done in the area of 20 years ago. NW Offroad is where I got the kit from, that I am sure of.
Not sure if they are GM or not, they resemble the GM one's I have seen in other kits.

Thank you thank you for the lead, what I was looking for.
