Hey Everyone.

I started to paint my rig this weekend. Used single stage paint that is the closest to the freedom red that I was able to find. The paint shops here are about as dense as it gets, no offense. The bottom was all i could get done because of the weather. That part stinks but after three coats I think it turned out pretty nice. The top will get done as soon as the sun comes back out. We'll see when that happens again.

Coming along nicely but gives us some of your tips/advice on how you sprayed it. Short sweeps or long sweeps. I know I can get it in the paint section but just wanted to see your approach to painting with gun. Thanks for sharing pics!!!

Thanks Dave. The main tip I would have to give is to thin it pretty well. It really sprays nicely when it is just a little thicker than water. Takes more coats but you can get the spray to mist in the patter really well. The first coat I only thinned it a little and had some real issues with spray consistency. The other two really went well and completely covered any issues that i had with that first spray. One other tip is to get your pattern right on a piece of *scrap*. I used some plywood, it really helped make sure I was consistent. As goes the sweeps, I kept it to a comfortable arms length, which for me was about 4-5 feet and then small overlap as I went to the other side. Came out really solid that way. Hope that helps. All in all it was really pretty fun.

I just wanted to do something a little different. I saw a pig with a similar line and really liked it. I will see how I feel after I am done.

your color break should be much easier to paint and the lines will be very clean
