it depends on what you want. a heavier flywheel = more rotationsl mass = harder to stall = or harder to rev ;)

lighter flywheel = spins faster, easier to stall tho..

Lighter is probably better with stupid low gears.
why?

eh i dont think he cares to much about highway acceleration....but if you can rev the motor faster with a lighter flywheel and having silly low gears you would not have to worrry about stalling it. gets it? best of both worlds.
Same thing I was saying, just leave out the highway part. :D

I finally broke down and ordered shifter linkage, turns out AA make a twin stick set-up for my application. Now If everybody could get their stories straight and ship the freakin thing I'd be just about set. Man A Fre just dosen't seem to be able to return calls. <_<

Stupid gas tank relief. Makes the passenger side mount for the t-case support difficult.

Film at eleven.

you want a light flywheel and low gears so when you NEED to bump it or NEED accel you can do so...anyway guess you can always take it out and machine it some more if need be.

So when you brake yours, you will not have to go looking for one...you will already have it...can swap it... and keep going.

It's a given it will break?

The only thing in life that is a certainty or given, would be death....

The cost of this as a spare is cheap insurance....further, is something that I would not think of not having with me if I were going out, especially if I had built my truck to run trails that I would need a Toybox and an Orion...along with spare front and rear driveshafts....steering components, axles, etc.

Guess it all depends on how much you hate being broke really....

Good luck!

In my vocation I have a reputation for over designing. I'll probably never do anything tougher than Fordyce. But I really hate being stuck or broke.

So now I have two new challanges (we called them problems in the old days). How to haul a gazillion spare parts, and funding for same. This project will keep me occupied forever, cool.

You will figure out what you need over time of breaking things... ;)

Good luck!

So far I've been doing what I can to avoid breakage. Longfields (inners to), High steer, the Orion box. Drive lines could get interesting, lots of stuff you can share as a group, one of the advantages to belonging to a Land Cruiser Club. But drive lines seem to be pretty personalized.
I can't wait to get the bill from High Angle. :D :D

I finaly made it out to the garage tonight.
I'm trying to solve a problem, the t-case support from AA is giving my trouble.
The Driver side t-case support looks okay.

The Passenger side t-case support is way low.

Everything is bolted up and supported by a chain hoist.

Could the passenger side tranny mount be the problem?

I'm starting to think I should have gone with truck t-case mount, I read in TT that Marlin now ships them with the toy box. <_<
