Original coil ohms question (1 Viewer)

I just pulled the original coil from a February 1976 fj40 in Canada, I tested the resistance across the terminals and got 1.3 ohms. Testing between the terminals and the distributor plug resulted in 10,980 ohms. I can't seem to find any information about the original performance range for the coil. Does anyone happen to have this info? I'd like to use it as it is original. Haven't tried it with the engine yet as the engine is being stripped and rebuilt.

Agreed. The way my mind works, is to question/confirm everything to reassure myself that its functioning well. The real test will be when we try and turn the engine over, till then I like to know anything I can.
