I also have one (or rather a 00LX) with some rust, I'd say less than your new find. Found a sticker on it's bumper from University of Boston, which is probably why I'm seeing some rusty bolts. It too is green! we call The Emerald. It was a no start condition I found in a field in the Foothills of LoveLand CO. I towed home with my 2011, was an easy chore for the 200. $4K in parts and counting in two months. It does work me harder than most busting bolt and taping, but been interesting for me. I usually just won't touch a rusty rig.

Good part is it's the one vehicle I'll park in front row of grocery store. Ding it and who cares, it's my beater parts getter w/558Km.

I have some rust on my undercarriage as well...medium level of rust. I want to have the Fluid Film applied. What kind of auto repair shops would apply this and what would be a fair rate for roughly the gallon that it needs?

Also, what is KDSS?
$100, maybe a little more or less. One of the local cruiser guys in my area (@GoISU) has a side business applying it, but we're ~8 hours from you.
